Membership Process
All prospective members are required to complete a six-month probationary period, during which attendance at a specified number of events and venues is expected. This allows us to ensure all members meet our safety standards and have ample opportunity to engage with various disciplines. For non-firearm disciplines such as archery and air rifle shooting, the probationary term may be shorter.
Safety and Legal Compliance
In compliance with Home Office criteria for target clubs, we notify the police of new members to ensure compliance with legal standards. Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 prohibits persons with certain criminal convictions from possessing firearms, making honesty on your application a must. We require full disclosure of any convictions or ongoing police investigations to protect the integrity of our club and the safety of the public.
